Calculation of the actual capacity of the universal mobile battery is performed as follows (using the example of a 20000mAh capacity):
The manufacturer specifies the nominal capacity as 20000mAh at a voltage of 3.7V, while standard (non-fast) charging through the USB interface is at 5V and above. During conversion, part of the capacity is lost, and the faster the charging (5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, 20V), the greater the losses.
The charge capacity is calculated as follows: Multiply the nominal capacity by the voltage on the power elements (usually 3.7V), divide by the USB interface voltage, and multiply by the efficiency coefficient (in modern models, it is approximately 85%, i.e., 0.85).
For example, when charging at 5V, the actual capacity will be: 20000 * 3.7 / 5 * 0.85 ≈ 12600 mAh, 20000 * 3.7 / 9 * 0.85 ≈ 7000 mAh, 20000 * 3.7 / 12 * 0.85 ≈ 5300 mAh, 20000 * 3.7 / 15 * 0.85 ≈ 4200 mAh, 20000 * 3.7 / 20 * 0.85 ≈ 3200 mAh.
